Yves Saint-Laurent, 40 years of creations
In 40 years of creation, Yves Saint Laurent revolutionized the way women dress by borrowing ideas from menswear such as the tuxedo, pantsuits, and the safari jacket to dress women. Thus, Saint Laurent passed the attributes of power from one sex to another.
Saint Laurent was inspired by what he saw on the streets (his scandal collection in 1971), his voyages (Russia, China, India, Spain, Japan, Africa and Morocco) and his dialogue with Art (Mondrian, Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh). Yves Saint Laurent has not stopped «making fashion a party».

Turner and his painters
The painter J.M.W Turner owes his singularity and his fame to his ambition to compete with the best ancient and contemporary masters (Claude Lorrain, Nicolas Poussin, Titian, Watteau, Bonington). These painters do not have anything in common, except for having expanded Turner’s artistic knowledge beyond the watercolours of his youth, by painting classical, imaginary, historical scenes as well as genre scenes. Filled with one hundred paintings, the exhibition at the Grand Palais highlights the making of an artist that challenges himself.
Open from Friday to Monday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Closed on May 1st.

The Pantheon
The Temple of Great Men offers a unique view of Paris.
Since 1885, the date of Victor Hugo’s pantheonisation, this building has become the place where the great men of the country lie (Voltaire, Rousseau, Zola, Pierre and Marie Curie).The Pantheon dominates Paris from the top of mount Sainte-Genevieve, in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Visitors can access the colonnade from April to October and from here tourists will be treated with an unexpected view.
Entrance: 9.60 €
Entrance is free for tourists younger than 18 years of age and for all visitors on the first Sunday of the month from November to March.
Hours: Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from the 1st of October to the 31st of March and from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from the first of April to the 30th of September. Closed on 01/01, 01/05 and 25/12.
